Plays What You Have
Browse any folder on internal storage or an SD card and play straight from it — no importing, no library to build first, no files copied anywhere.
A video and music player for Android that plays what is already on your phone — your folders, your playlists, your downloads — with subtitles, an equaliser, casting to your TV and a pop-up window. No ads, no account, and nothing behind a subscription.
Odo Player is in final testing ahead of its Google Play release. It is not downloadable yet — this page and the store listing go live together. The policies above are already the ones that will apply.
Built for the files you already own, on the device that already holds them.
Browse any folder on internal storage or an SD card and play straight from it — no importing, no library to build first, no files copied anywhere.
Sidecar .srt and .ass files load automatically, embedded tracks are picked up, and text size, colour, position and timing are all adjustable. Search opens a subtitle site in your browser.
Presets and manual bands for music, and the same treatment for video sound — with the headroom left in place so a boosted preset never comes out quieter than the original.
Find DLNA and UPnP devices on your own Wi-Fi and send the file you are playing to the big screen. The transfer stays inside your home network.
Keep a video playing in a small floating window over the rest of the app, or hand it to Android's picture-in-picture and use your phone for something else.
Swipe for seeking, volume and brightness; pinch to zoom; press and hold for speed. Plus A–B repeat, playback speed, sleep timer and screen lock.
Playlists, favourites, album and artist browsing, and lock-screen controls you can use with the screen off. Playback carries on when you leave the app.
Cut a clip out of a video or an MP3 and save the result as a new file, or grab a frame as a screenshot — the edit happens on your device.
Watch history and resume positions are remembered per file, so the thing you stopped halfway through is the thing you can continue in one tap.
Not a trial, not a premium tier, not a feature held back for a later version.
There is no advertising code in the app at all — no banners, no interstitials, no video ads, no consent dialog for something that isn't there.
No subscription, no in-app purchase, no "pro" unlock. Subtitles, the equaliser, casting and the pop-up window are all just there.
No sign-up, no profile, no email required. The app has no server of ours behind it, so there is nowhere for your viewing to be recorded.
Odo Player reads the media you point it at and keeps its own notes — history, favourites, playlists, settings — in its private storage on your device. It has no analytics, no tracking and no crash reporting, and it never uploads your media.
What it is, who makes it, and when you can get it.
