How OdoGrid Stores Your Data
OdoGrid is an offline-first application. All personal data you enter — vehicles, fuel logs, maintenance records, expenses, trips, and documents — is stored exclusively on your device in a locally-encrypted database (Isar with AES-256 encryption).
OdoGrid does not operate its own backend server or cloud database. The only external services used are:
Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics
Anonymous crash reports and aggregate usage statistics. No personal vehicle or financial data is included.
Google Drive / Dropbox (optional)
Encrypted backup files uploaded by you, stored in your own cloud account. OdoGrid never has access to your cloud credentials or backup files.
Google AdMob
Serves contextual ads for free-tier users, governed by Google's privacy policy.
Delete Your Data — In-App Method Recommended
Because your data lives on your device, the fastest and most complete way to delete it is directly inside the app:
- Open OdoGrid on your Android device.
- Tap the ☰ menu (hamburger icon) in the top-left corner to open the navigation drawer.
- Tap Privacy & Data.
- Scroll down and tap Wipe Data (or Delete All Data).
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
⚠️ This permanently erases all locally stored data: vehicles, fuel records, maintenance tasks, expenses, trips, documents, and settings. The action is irreversible.
Alternative: Uninstall the App
Uninstalling OdoGrid from your device removes all locally stored data. On Android, go to Settings → Apps → OdoGrid → Uninstall.
If you previously enabled a Google Drive or Dropbox backup, the encrypted backup file will remain in your personal cloud storage until you delete it manually from within those services.
Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics Data
Anonymous analytics events and crash reports processed via Firebase are associated with a randomly-generated installation ID — not your name, email, or any personal data. This data is retained per Google's data retention policy.
To request deletion of any Firebase analytics data linked to your
installation, contact us at the email below with the subject line
Firebase Analytics Deletion Request and include your
approximate device model and the date you installed OdoGrid.
